Summary: Folk heroes are those we look up to because they looked fear in the face and said, "not today". Ol' Hillbilly John was one of them, and his adventures take him across the U.S. fighting the forces of evil.

History: Hillbilly John had a mission in life. With a guitar made with strings of pure silver, he would exorcise the country of the forces of Satan. Such adversaries included an unfaithful gambler, a con-artist with a horrific buzzard muscle, and a voodoo slave driver.

Final Fate: Yandro is locked in a room with the very witch he spited long ago, John whacks the buzzard in the face with his guitar (causing it to melt into sludge alongside its master), and Lajoie dies just looking at the strings. John then heads for the White House, as it has been established that the government is run by Satan (their words, not ours).

Powers/Abilities: None.

Weakness: Pure silver. Some die just looking at it.

Scariness Factor: 2.5-These are some pretty nasty people, but silver isn't exactly hard to come across. The only standout is the ugly buzzard, and even then, its stop-motion leaves a bit to be desired.

Trivia: -This film was also known as "Ballad of Hillbilly John", "Who Fears the Devil", and "My Name is John".

-This isn't the only time music was the Devil's equal. The classic country song, "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" involves Satan getting beat in a fiddle-playing competition.
